James Ankerson

Business Development - UK & Ireland

James has over 13 years’ experience in financial markets focusing on credit products.

James joined Pemberton in 2016 and is responsible for capital raising from institutional investors across the UK and Ireland. James joined from Joh. Berenberg, Gossler & Co where he established their debt placement capability in infrastructure, real estate, shipping and mid-market corporate credit. Previously he was at Lloyds Bank where he worked from 2010 to 2015 in the UK Institutional Sales team focusing on the UK Pension Funds and Insurance Companies distributing both flow and illiquid credit. He later moved into the Solutions sales team where he was responsible for credit in the multi-asset sales team with specific focus on Solvency II compliant structures and efficient assets.

James started his career as a graduate trainee in 2004 at RBS in the Global Banking and Markets division, moving into Structured Credit Trading in 2005 focusing on credit risk repackaging and illiquid credit instruments.

James holds a BA (hons) in Philosophy from University College London.
